The character and uniqueness of well-used everyday objects has always been interesting to me. Finding these beaten and worn down lanterns and flashlights in random shops and antique stores has been a fun way to explore my world. Selecting these lanterns and having them in life has let me see more beauty in texture, dings, dents, bumps, and cracks that convey the story of their experience, use and utlity. Their once bright lights have helped me find my path in painting.
